Sail removal/replacement

Removal:  It works best with the glider set on the control frame, wings tensioned.  Do not zipper the sail together or hook in the rear sail rings before tensioning.  Undo the Velcro at the wing tip.  Undo the Velcro at the nose.  Pull the sail off from the tip.  After about 3' stop and pull the spoiler cable through the hole in the sail  (if you wanted to, you could reach inside the sail and pull the cable through before starting to removing the sail)  failure to do this could rip the sail as it is removed.  The sail should pull off very easily.  If is hangs up, look carefully for the cause.  I like to lay out a 20' long clean tarp at the wing tip to keep the sail from getting dirty as it is removed.  The spoiler and flap will stay attached to the sail.

Installation:  Set up the glider and tension the wings.  Slide on the sail.  Put the spoiler cable through its hole in the sail.  Hook the Velcro at the nose.  Hook the rear rings.  Insert the #9 rib tube, insert the tip wand and tension the wand.  With the wand tensioned reach inside the sail and attach the wingtip Velcro tabs.
